Türkiye held the German authorities responsible for the security and safety of Turkish citizens and Turkish missions on its territory, against the backdrop of the attack by supporters of the terrorist PKK organization on the Turkish consulate building in the German city of Hanover on the night of March 26, according to what the official Turkish media reported.

This came in a press release issued by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in the statement, “Following the attack, the German authorities were contacted and reminded that they are responsible for the security of our citizens and diplomatic missions, and that they must not allow any actions aimed at provoking the Turkish community in Europe”.

The statement added, “It’s clear that the actions of the PKK organization, which is classified as terrorist group by Ankara, aimed at destabilizing the Turkish community in Europe are increasing; Thanks to the common sense of our citizens, these provocations didn’t turn into larger events”.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry called on the concerned countries to have zero tolerance for provocations by supporters of the PKK organization against the Turkish community in Europe and to bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible.
