Trump declared victorious to become president elect
Donald Trump announced his victory in the US presidential elections to become the 47th President of the United States, addressing his supporters in a speech in which he expressed his thanks to the American people for the great confidence they have given him.
Trump said in his speech, “I thank the American people for this great honor… We won the popular vote and garnered about 315 votes in the electoral college, in addition to the majority in both the Senate and the House of Representatives… This was the greatest political operation in the history of the United States”.
Trump added that the country will witness unprecedented transformations under his leadership, pledging to work to unite the people and reform the internal situation, especially with regard to the American borders.
He indicated that his administration will rebuild the economy and strengthen the borders, saying, “We’ll close the borders to illegal immigrants and we will regain control of our resources”.
Trump considered this victory a “historic victory” for the United States, and stressed that he will continue to fight for a better future for future generations, noting that the United States has the largest quantities of oil compared to any other country, including Saudi Arabia and Russia.
He also congratulated his Vice President J.D. Vance for his great role in achieving this victory, praising his ability to confront hostile media.
Trump stressed that his administration will work to pay off debts and restore the economy to its normal cycle, stressing that the priority will always be the American people.
Trump concluded his speech with a call to overcome divisions among the American people, saying, “It’s time for us to unite our efforts for a better future, and we will work together to put the United States first again”.
Trump has secured the victory be obtaining 292 votes of the total 538 electoral college votes, as it require to obtain 270 votes to win the elections.
As for his opponent, current vice president Kamala Harris, she obtained 224 votes.
Trump also managed to gain the total popular votes with 71,756,922 votes (51%), and Harris received 66,985,196 votes (47.5%).
