The US navy: Two US Navy soldiers are missing in the Gulf of Aden

The United States announced the loss of two Navy SEALs during a mission off the coast of Somalia, where they were participating in an operation to intercept Iranian weapons smuggling to the Houthis in Yemen.

The naval mission included Operation VBSS (Visit, Search and Seize), where well-trained soldiers intercepted and searched Ships.

According to official information, one of the soldiers slipped while trying to board a ship carrying suspicious weapons and fell into the waters of the Gulf of Aden, and his colleague jumped into the water to try to save him.

John Kirby, spokesman for the National Security Council, confirmed that this incident is not related to the recent US air strikes.

Search and rescue efforts continue in the rough seas off Somalia, as the US military seeks to find missing soldiers.

The US Navy has repeatedly intercepted ships carrying illegal cargo and threatening safety in the region.
