The Qassam Brigades broadcast footage of a complex ambush targeting an Israeli force in the southern Gaza Strip resulting in the death of soldiers
The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, broadcast footage of a complex ambush targeting Israeli forces’ vehicles on a supply line in the al Zana area, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The footage showed the Qassam fighters planning to target an Israeli supply convoy in the al Zana area, east of Khan Yunis.
The planning included identifying locations for the Israeli forces to place explosive devices, the stages of encircling them, and engaging them at the scene of the ambush.
According to the footage, Qassam Brigades members were able to plant highly explosive Shawaaz bombs on the road used by the occupation forces.
As an Israeli convoy passed by, Qassam fighters detonated two explosive devices in two Israeli armored personnel carriers, then struck a third with a Yassin 105 missile before pursuing the armored personnel carrier and engaging its Israeli soldiers, who fled the scene under a hail of bullets from Qassam fighters.
The ambush resulted in the killing an Israeli officer and a soldier.
