The Israeli Chief of Staff warns Netanyahu’s government of a decline in the army’s achievements due to the absence of a plan for the next phase after the war

Israeli Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevy, warned on Monday evening, “The government will decline the army’s achievements due to the absence of a plan for the next phase after the war”.
According to the Israeli Channel 13, “Halevy told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant that the army may be forced to return to areas where the fighting had ended,” noting that “senior security officials expressed their fear that there would be a regrouping of Hamas fighters in the north Gaza strip”.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said earlier that the Palestinians will take over the rule of the Gaza Strip after the end of the war, stressing that at the end of the war, there will be no military threat from Gaza and Hamas won’t be able to rule and operate as a military force in the Strip.
The Israeli Defense Minister announced that the intensive phase of the war against Hamas in southern Gaza will end soon, confirming that it will end in the northern Gaza Strip.
