Former Israeli army officer: Netanyahu’s lies and nonsense brought us to The Hague
The former commander of the IDF’s Southern Command, retired Major General Yom-Tov Samia, revealed his attempts to push for a vote of no confidence in the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu among members of the Knesset from the Likud Party, but he says that some members of the Knesset are “cowards”.
He said, according to Maariv newspaper, that the current government is inflated, as it includes more than 30 ministers and deputy ministers, and budgets that have nothing to do with anything.
The former commander of the Southern Command accused Netanyahu of his lies and nonsense that brought Israel to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and said, “Look at the number of Knesset members and crazy ministers in this coalition whose statements were cited in The Hague that day… There is no leadership here… Netanyahu is actually running an election campaign”.
He also said that he tried to push for a vote of no confidence between 5 to 8 members of the Knesset from Likud, but he considered that they were simply cowards.
“They tell you in the assemblies: Yes, we must do that… You cannot divide Israeli society and continue tearing it apart, but all eight They were simply afraid of being burned within Likud,” he added.
He said that Netanyahu is suspicious of his security minister (referring to Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir) and suspicious of all his ministers and doesn’t allow anyone to do anything, and the people he allows to do it are because of his fear of dissolving the coalition and of crazy people, and the current Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
