Israel announced that it launched strikes on Monday on military sites in Kermanshah, western Iran, on the eleventh day of the war between the two countries.

The Israeli army said in a statement that the air force “is currently carrying out strikes on military infrastructure sites in Kermanshah, Iran”.

In the same context, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, said that the attack on his country “remains a stain on the history of the United States”.

Iravani’s remarks came during an emergency session of the UN Security Council held on Sunday at Iran’s request.

He added, “When the Israeli entity failed to carry out the West’s dirty work, Donald Trump was forced, at dawn on Sunday, June 22, 2025, to implement the most despicable chapters of this vile agenda himself”.

Iravani described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as an “internationally wanted war criminal,” accusing him of “usurping US foreign policy and dragging it back into a costly war”.

He explained that his country had repeatedly warned the United States against becoming a party to this war, stressing that Iran reserves all its legitimate rights to self-defense under international law.

He stressed that the US and Israeli attacks represent a “flagrant and serious violation of international law,” describing all US allegations against Iran as “baseless and devoid of any legal basis”.

He continued: “The United States, Britain, and France, along with Israel and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, bear full responsibility for the killing of innocent civilians in Iran, especially women and children, and for the destruction of vital infrastructure”.
