Dmitry Medvedev: Several countries are now ready to supply Iran with nuclear munitions
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev condemned the US strike on Iran, noting that Washington was being drawn into a new conflict and that some countries are ready to provide Iran with nuclear weapons.
Medvedev wrote in a post on Telegram, “Wondering what the recent US attack on Iran’s three nuclear facilities has led to and what it has gained from it”.
Medvedev believes in his post that it has had the opposite effect and has exacerbated the crisis rather than resolving it.
Medvedev wrote, “What did the United States achieve from its nighttime strikes on three sites in Iran? Critical nuclear infrastructure was undamaged or minimally damaged… Uranium enrichment and the production of nuclear weapons in the future will become a reality… Several countries are now prepared to supply Iran with nuclear munitions directly… Israel under threat… explosions, panic, and escalation… The United States has been drawn into a new conflict that could turn into a ground military operation… The Iranian political system hasn’t weakened, but has likely become stronger… Popular support for Iran’s religious leadership has strengthened, and even mobilized, the support of its opponents… Trump, who came as a “peace president,” ignited a new war for the United States… Most countries in the world reject and condemn the practices of the United States and Israel”.
Medvedev concluded his post by saying, “The Nobel Peace Prize has become a distant dream for Trump, despite all the corruption surrounding the award… A successful start… Congratulations, Mr. President!”
