
The Israeli army announced, on Wednesday, that 9 of its soldiers were killed in battles in the northern Gaza Strip, in addition to 4 others being seriously injured.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Maariv, and Jerusalem Post, the Israeli army spokesman allowed the publication of the names of nine fighters killed in the battles in the Gaza Strip, on the last day (Tuesday), and in addition, four were seriously wounded.
Yedioth Ahronoth said, “Seven soldiers belonging to the Israeli Givati Brigade were killed as a result of the firing of an anti-tank missile that hit Panther Armored Vehicle, and two others from the 77th Armored Battalion in the battles in the northern Gaza Strip.
Maariv newspaper said, 9 Givati Brigade soldiers were killed in an anti-tank missile attack in Gaza, without giving further details.
The Israeli army also announced that 4 soldiers were seriously wounded, and said, “2 soldiers from the 77th Battalion, a third from the Paratroopers Battalion, and another soldier from the Rotem Battalion were seriously wounded, according to the Jerusalem Post.
The Israeli army also announced on Wednesday that it had struck more than 11,000 targets of armed organizations in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war with Hamas, after an unprecedented attack by the movement on October 7.
The Israeli army said in a statement, “Since the start of the war, the Israeli Defense Forces have struck more than 11,000 targets of organizations in the Gaza Strip”.
