The elected Syrian council in Hasakah votes unanimously to hand over drinking water sources to the Russian forces
Members of the newly elected Hasakah Provincial Council demanded in its first meeting the need to neutralize the Alouk wells project station in Ras al Ain in northeastern Syria, which is under the control of the Turkish army, which is the only source of drinking water for a million civilians, and to hand over its protection to the Russian military police forces, as quickly as possible.
The members of the newly elected Hasakah Governorate Council voted unanimously, Monday, November 14, on the need to hand over the Alouk well station in the countryside of Ras al Ain, northwest of Hasakah Governorate, to the Russian military police forces operating at the Qamishli airport base, and neutralize it from the conflicts between the Kurdish factions loyal to the US army on the one hand, and the Turkmen factions under the control of the Turkish army on the other.
A number of members of the Hasakah Governorate Council confirmed, that all members and all components of the population of the northeast of Syria, with all determination, voted democratically on the need to neutralize the Alouk wells station, which is the only source for the residents of the city of Hasakah and its environs, and the town of Tal Tamr and its countryside, which suffers from frequent outages.
Since the Turkish army took control of the area three years ago, after the withdrawal of the SDF loyal to the US army.
The members called for the necessity of handing over the station and the surrounding area to the Russian military police in order to ensure the continuous and permanent flow of drinking water to the Syrian civilians who suffer from poor health and service conditions as a result of the continuous interruption of drinking water in light of suspicious international silence on what is happening in the region, especially the continuing US occupation, and the US stealing the Syrian oil and wheat.
It’s noteworthy that the Turkish army and its Turkmen factions, which are under its control on one side, and the Kurdish factions loyal to the US army, continue to cut off water to about a million citizens in Hasakah governorate, by shutting down the Alouk station and stopping the electrical supply to it.
Currently in eastern Syria, the water cut off from the city of Hasakah continues for the twelfth day in a row, as a result of the continued control of the operation of the Alouk station by the Turkish army forces and the Turkmen factions in the countryside of Ras al Ain, and the encroachment on the electrical network feeding the station, which led It stopped working, in addition to preventing the maintenance workshops of the Governmental Water Corporation from entering to maintain its wells and equipment.
The Turkish army forces and the Turkmen factions stopped operating the Alouk station throughout the last summer, for a continuous period of 3 months, and after operating it for several days, it was stopped again, so that the tragedy of civilians returned again.
