The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian forces shot down 36 Ukrainian drones on Saturday night over the Black Sea and the Crimean Peninsula.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said on its official Telegram channel, “On the night of October 29, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using drones on targets in the territory of the Russian Federation were thwarted”.
The statement added, “The air defense systems on duty destroyed 36 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and the northwestern part of the Crimean Peninsula”.
There was no immediate comment from the Ukrainian authorities.
Ukrainian attacks against Russian territory have increased in recent months as part of the slow counterattack that Kiev began at the beginning of June.
