Return to Christianity Bibles for $60: Trump call his supporters to return to Christianity
Former US President Donald Trump, launched a website to sell Bibles, under the slogan of “make America pray again”.
Trump urged his supporters to buy the Bible for $59.99 in a post on the Truth Social platform.
The potential Republican presidential candidate said, “Happy Holy Week! Let’s make America pray again… As we approach Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to pick up a copy of the Bible… God Bless the United States”.
The slogan that Donald Trump used to buy the bible was derived from a patriotic song by the country singer, Lee Greenwood, with the same title.
The bible is sold for $59.99, and in a video posted on his account on the Truth Social platform on Tuesday, he appeared encouraging his supporters to buy.
Trump said, “I am proud to partner with my dear friend Lee Greenwood, who doesn’t love his song, God Bless the USA, in promoting this Bible”.
It was reported on the website of the American network CNBC that the cost of the “God Bless the United States” Bible is $59.99, not including shipping fees and other fees.
GodBlessTheUSABible.com obtained the license to use Trump’s image from CIC Ventures LLC, the same company that owns the trademark for the sneaker line he launched, last February.
But the website says that the proceeds from the sale won’t go to the Trump campaign, and that he isn’t a politician and has no connection to any political campaign.
“Religion and Christianity are the biggest things missing in this country; I really think we need to bring them back, it’s one of the biggest problems we have… That’s why our country is in chaos… We’ve lost religion in our country, and all Americans need a Bible in their homes, and I have a lot of them,” Trump said.
Donald Trump says he has several Bibles, which he describes as his “favorite book”.
The sale is nothing new for the former president, whose $399 high-top sneakers sold out hours after their launch in February.
Beside selling the bible, Donald Trump also released a $99 bottle of perfume, cologne, and two sneakers.
