Operation al Aqsa Flood… The largest attack on Israel: fighting continues with casualties tolls rise in both side
The Israeli Ministry of Health confirmed that the number of Israeli deaths had risen to at least 350 people, and 1,864 others were injured, including seriously, in the unprecedented attack carried out by Hamas on the Israeli settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip.
The most prominent hotspots are Sderot, Zikim, Netivot, Kissuvim, Deir al Balah, Khan Yunis, and Eshkol.
Hamas military wing, al Qassam Brigades, also targeted several other Israeli cities with their rockets, including Tel Aviv, Lod, Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Jerusalem.
Al Qassam Brigades, supported by Palestinian factions in Gaza, launched a military operation (Al-Aqsa Flood), at dawn on Saturday, against the Israeli forces, in response to the repeated Israeli incursions.
Palestinian factions fired thousands of missiles towards Israeli towns and cities, followed by a breach of the border and armed clashes with the Israeli forces in the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Ministry of Health announced that the number of casualties had risen to 1,864 Israelis, including 19 in critical condition, 326 in serious condition, and 359 in moderate condition.
For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 260 Palestinians were killed and 1,600 others were injured as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army said, “We’ve begun evacuating the residents near the Gaza Strip, and we have difficult days ahead of us”.
Israeli media also reported that about 750 Israelis are currently missing since the start of the fighting.
For its part, Israeli Army Radio said that there was suspicion of a drone infiltrating from the Gaza Strip towards the Netivot settlement.
And for the first time, more than 4 Israel Apache helicopters were targeted.
The Palestinian factions continue to launch batches of rockets and shells from the Gaza Strip towards the adjacent Israeli cities and towns.
In response, the Israeli army announced the launch of Operation “Iron Swords” against Hamas in Gaza, saying in a statement that its planes “began launching raids in several areas of the Gaza Strip against Hamas targets”.
