Netanyahu thanking Trump for the support and acknowledged suffering heavy losses
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged on Wednesday that Israel has suffered heavy losses as a result of the ongoing military escalation with Iran, but stressed that the home front is resilient and that Israel remains in a position of strength.
In a televised address broadcast by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, Netanyahu said, “We’re going through a difficult period and are suffering great losses, but the Israeli people are resilient, and our state today is stronger than ever”.
The Israeli Prime Minister affirmed that Israeli forces currently control Iranian airspace and are targeting nuclear sites, missile facilities, and command centers inside Iran.
He explained that operations are proceeding steadily to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat and end the ballistic missile threat.
In the same context, Netanyahu expressed his gratitude to the United States for its support for Israel, praising Washington’s position in securing Israeli airspace and its solidarity in the face of regional threats.
The region has witnessed an unprecedented military escalation since the night of June 13, when Israel launched a military operation targeting Iran’s nuclear program, which Tehran is accused of concealing a military aspect that is approaching the “point of no return,” according to Israeli allegations.
Iran responded by launching hundreds of missiles and drones toward Israeli territory, targeting military and industrial facilities, as damage and casualties mounted on both sides.
According to Israeli statistics, at least 24 people were killed and approximately 800 others were injured as a result of the Iranian attacks.
Tehran, in contrast, announced that more than 220 people were killed and at least 1,800 wounded due to the ongoing Israeli bombardment.
As the pace of exchanges of strikes increased throughout the day, Israel affirmed its determination to continue its military operations until the “complete destruction of Iran’s nuclear program,” while Iran vowed to continue its bombing as long as Israeli attacks on its territory persist.
This dangerous escalation is raising growing concern in international circles, given the absence of any signs of an imminent ceasefire, the continued loss of civilian casualties, and mounting damage to infrastructure and residential areas.
