Iran Shah’s Heir: It’s Time to Reclaim Iran!

Reza Pahlavi, son of the late Shah and former Crown Prince of Iran, called for a comprehensive popular uprising against the current Iranian regime, asserting that “the opportunity has come to reclaim the country”.
In a video address he posted on X he said, “The Islamic Republic is doomed, and it’s now on its way to collapse”.
He added, “Iran needs a comprehensive uprising to end this collective nightmare, and the time has come to rise up and reclaim the homeland… Together we can”.
In his video message, the former crown prince sought to allay concerns about Iran’s future after the current regime, stressing that the country wouldn’t descend into instability or civil war if the ruling regime fell.
He pointed out that popular change can take place without chaos, calling on Iranians not to be preoccupied with fear of the day after, but rather to focus on restoring sovereignty and popular will.
The Islamic Republic has come to its end and is collapsing. What has begun is irreversible. The future is bright, and together we will turn the page of history. Now is the time to stand up; the time to reclaim Iran. May I be with you soon. pic.twitter.com/qrbnDmf8SX

It’s worth noting that Reza Pahlavi has strengthened his ties with Israel in recent years, sparking widespread controversy within Iranian opposition circles abroad.
While some opponents viewed it as a pragmatic step toward change in Iran, others viewed his public support for Israel as “national treason”.
It’s noteworthy that Reza’s father, the late Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, had close ties with Israel before the 1979 Islamic Revolution that overthrew his rule and established the current regime.
Reza Pahlavi’s call comes at a time when the region is witnessing a major military escalation between Iran and Israel, with the latter launching an unprecedented attack at dawn on Friday, June 13, 2025, targeting Iranian nuclear facilities and a number of senior military leaders.
This escalation raises international concerns about an escalation in the regional conflict, given the ongoing exchange of military strikes between the two sides.
