Iran threatens to annihilate Israel if it launches a major attack on its territories
The Iranian News Agency quoted Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi as saying on Tuesday that Israel launching an attack on Iranian territory will bring about a complete change in circumstances and lead to nothing remaining of the “Zionist entity”.
Raisi began a three-day visit to Pakistan on Monday and pledged to increase the volume of trade between the two countries to ten billion dollars annually.
The two Muslim neighbors are seeking to mend relations between them after they exchanged unprecedented military strikes this year.
Explosions were heard in the Iranian city of Isfahan on Friday, in what sources said was an Israeli attack, but Tehran downplayed the importance of the incident and said it had no intention of responding to it.
Iran launched a barrage of missiles and drones at Israel on April 13 in what it said was a response to the bloody Israeli attack on its embassy compound in Damascus on April 1, but almost all of the missiles and drones were shot down.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran will proudly continue to support the Palestinian resistance,” Raisi said in his speech in Lahore during his visit to Pakistan.
