German Study: Women are holding a third of political jobs in Germany

A new study conducted by Quadriga University in Berlin and the magazine Politik Kommunikation, showed that women hold only a third of political jobs in Germany.

The report stated that 33.1% of decision-making positions in Germany are held by women.

These areas include not only politicians themselves, but also leadership positions in the political press, trade associations, trade unions and charities.

According to research conducted by the educational institution and magazine in Berlin, which was made available to the German News Agency, the percentage of women is highest in the field of political journalism.

In total, women represent 42.2% of the heads of policy bureaus and main editorial offices in 30 media outlets.

Only 35.2% of members of the German Parliament (Bundestag).
