Netherlands: The far right doesn’t rule out ruling with forming a minority government

Dutch far-right populist Geert Wilders didn’t rule out forming a minority government, a week after his election victory.
“Anything is possible, but I prefer to form a majority government,” Wilders said in The Hague on Wednesday.
The anti-Islam Freedom Party, led by Wilders, won 37 out of 150 seats in Parliament, but it needs at least two other parties to ensure a majority.
The first stage of forming the government began on Wednesday morning, as the chief negotiator of the “For Freedom” Party investigated the parliamentary groups, to find out which coalition group might have the opportunity, and he is scheduled to submit his report next week.
The controversial far-right leader, who was known for his hostility to foreigners and Muslims, and Wilders’ victory was a major surprise in Dutch politics, and spread mixed feedback among the EU.
