Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert admits for the first time that Israel is responsible for the assassination of the commander Imad Mughniyeh
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert admitted that Israel was responsible for the assassination of the military commander of Hezbollah, Imad Mughniyeh, in the Syrian capital, Damascus, in 2008.
Olmert explained in an interview with Channel 13 that the operation was carried out by planting an explosive device in the front of Mughniyeh’s car, which led to his assassination that night.
It’s noteworthy that Hezbollah had accused the Israeli Mossad of assassinating Imad Mughniyeh on February 12, 2008 in Damascus.
While Tel Aviv denied its involvement in the operation, testimonies later emerged confirming that Mossad was behind the assassination.
