A video published by the Israeli army revealed the final moments before targeting the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, as he appeared masked, sitting on a sofa and trying to shoot down a small drone that was filming the place.

Sinwar was seriously injured when the house he was in was shelled by a tank shell, after which an Israeli infantry force sent a drone to try to find out who was inside the house.

According to the video captured by an Israeli drone, Sinwar was trying to shoot down the drone and hit it with a stick.

Sinwar appeared sitting on a sofa, his hand bleeding profusely and seriously injured.

The Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a press conference: “Sinwar was assassinated yesterday (Wednesday) in Tel al Sultan (in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip) by Israeli army soldiers”.

Speaking about Sinwar, Hagari added, “We didn’t know he was there… At first, we recognized him as a gunman inside a building… He was seen masked and throwing a wooden plank towards the drone, seconds before he was killed”.

In new details about the clash between the occupation forces and Sinwar and a number of fighters with him, Channel 13 reported that a soldier in the 450th Battalion spotted a person leaving and entering one of the buildings in Tel al Sultan in Rafah at 10:00 yesterday, Wednesday, and at 3:00 in the afternoon a force gradually moved towards the target.

The channel said that an Israeli army force spotted three men in the area using a drone entering and exiting homes in the area of the clash, in an apparent attempt to secure the area.

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces opened fire on Sinwar and his companions, who in turn dispersed in the area.

Sinwar entered a building and went up to the second floor, and then the occupation forces opened fire from a tank towards the place.

When the platoon commander from Battalion 450 entered the area to survey the building where Sinwar was located, Sinwar and his comrades threw two hand grenades at him and his fighters, and then fled the scene.

Later, the force brought another drone, and saw a person (later revealed to be Sinwar) with an injured hand and a mask.

Sinwar was sitting in the room, and tried to throw a wooden stick at the Israeli drone.

The force then fired another tank shell.

On the second day, Thursday, an Israeli army force entered to conduct a search.

It was only this morning, and when they entered and saw the bodies of the fighters, it turned out that one of them was a person who looked like Yahya Sinwar, and later it was announced that it was him.

Sinwar’s killing in this way while he was fighting invalidates all the reports circulated by the Israeli media for months that claimed that he was hiding in a bunker or moving around disguised in women’s clothing, and even he was outside Gaza, only to find out in the end that he was in Gaza fighting with the rest of the Hamas elements.
