Bloomberg: Britain wants to sign a major technology deal with Trump
Bloomberg reported that Britain is set to sign a major technology deal with the United States during US President Donald Trump’s visit to the UK next week.
Bloomberg quoted a statement issued by the British Ministry of Science, Innovation and Technology as saying: “Britain is about to sign an ‘innovative technology agreement’ with the United States during Trump’s visit next week”.
Bloomberg added that the ministry didn’t specify the details of the agreement, but indicated that it would provide an incentive for development and innovation among companies and consumers.
Sources, who spoke to Bloomberg on condition of anonymity, also confirmed to the agency that Jensen Huang, CEO of the American company Nvidia, and Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, intend to pledge support for billions of dollars in investments in British data processing centers during their visit to the UK.
The sources also indicated that Core Wave is also expected to announce its investments in the country.
Trump is scheduled to make an official visit to Britain from September 17 to 19.
