Aaxios: Trump rejects Putin’s proposal to transfer Iran’s enriched uranium to Russia
US President Donald Trump rejected a proposal by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to transfer Iranian enriched uranium to Russia as part of an agreement to end the war on Tehran, Axios revealed on Friday evening.
Axios quoted sources as saying that Putin suggested in a phone call with Trump this week the transfer of Iranian enriched uranium to Russia as part of an agreement to end the war, as according to the sources, Trump rejected the proposal.
On the other hand, Trump suggested that the Russian president might be providing a little help to Iran.
On the possibility of a military operation to control Iran’s enriched uranium, Trump responded: “No, there’s no such thing… At the moment we aren’t focusing on that, but we may focus on the future”.
Trump pointed out that the presidency of former US President Joe Biden witnessed the absence of security on the border, and the entry of large numbers of Iranians into the United States.
“There may be more than 1,700 Iranian sleeper cells in the United States,” he said, without providing further details.
