Israel pledged to take action against Türkiye, accusing it of violating trade agreements between the two countries after Türkiye imposed trade restrictions on it.

The Turkish Ministry of Trade announced the restriction of the export of 54 products to Israel starting on April 9, indicating that these restrictions will remain in effect until an immediate ceasefire is announced in Gaza and sufficient aid is provided to the Palestinians.

The statement indicated that the decision includes products such as aviation fuel, construction iron, flat steel, marble and ceramics.

Regarding the response, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Türkiye is unilaterally violating the trade agreements and Israel will take the necessary measures against it.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry’s statement indicated that Israel continues to violate international law and ignore the calls of the international community for a ceasefire and to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The statement stressed the need for Israel to implement the international community’s decisions regarding an immediate ceasefire and facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
