A terrorist attack in the Turkish capital leaving 4 victims and 14 injured
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that 4 people were killed and 14 others were injured in the terrorist attack that targeted the Turkish Aerospace Industries Company (TUSAŞ) in the capital, Ankara.
This came in statements made by Erdogan on Wednesday during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit held in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan.
Erdogan said, “We’ve 4 martyrs and 14 wounded… I condemn this heinous terrorist attack and I wish God’s mercy on the souls of our martyrs”.
He expressed his thanks to the Russian President for offering his condolences to the victims of the attack.
Erdogan also invited his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to visit Türkiye as soon as possible.
He pointed out that efforts are continuing to resolve banking payments problems between the two countries, due to Western sanctions on Russia.
Earlier on Wednesday, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the neutralization of two terrorists who carried out an attack on the TUSAŞ Company in Ankara.
According to available information, an unknown attackers carried out an attack with weapons and bombs on the campus of the TUSAŞ complex in Kahramankazan, Ankara, at 15:30 local time.
The Turkish Interior Minister wrote on X on Wednesday that two terrorists were neutralized in the terrorist attack on the facilities of TUSAŞ Company.
