Zelensky: Ukrainian drone experts arrive this week in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday that Ukrainian military experts will arrive this week in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, where they will share their expertise in shooting down Iranian drones.
Ukraine, which Russia bombards every night with Iranian-made Shahed drones, says it has unrivalled experience in repelling such attacks.
In a recorded message distributed to journalists, Zelensky said that “the first three countries … According to the agreement, they are Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia”.
“When it comes to repelling large-scale attacks with Shahid drones, Ukrainian experience alone is useful these days,” he added.
Later, the Ukrainian presidency announced the dispatch of Ukrainian military experts to Jordan.
“They are two different requests… The first is about the US bases, which is about Jordan, and the second is about those three countries,” the Ukrainian presidency told reporters.
Zelensky called on US allies in the Gulf to trade drone shooting down techniques for much-needed air defense missiles in Ukraine.
