Voltaire Network: Saudi Arabia supports China against the jihadists

The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, travelled to China on an official visit.
The purpose of the visit is to contribute his support to China’s anti-terrorism policy.
The Saudi Crown Prince’s trip is taking place just as Turkey issues a declaration denouncing the repression that China is applying, according to Ankara, against the Uyghur people, who are people of Turkish origin and Muslim religion.
At the same time, China has just started a bio-metric censure in the region of Xinjiang, where the majority of the Uyghur live.
During his stay, the heir to the Saudi throne has taken the opportunity to sign a number of cooperation agreements with Peking.
Riyadh is trying to diversify its suppliers so that it can shake off its dependence on the United States and so that it can organize its oil exports.
