US journalist and diplomat, Janice Kortkamp, expressed her hope that the policy of the elected US President, Joe Biden, towards Syria would be better than his predecessor Trump.

“I would like to advise Biden about going to Syria, wandering around the streets of Damascus and listening to people there to tell him what they think about the aggression against their country,” Kortkamp said.

“Let them tell him about the coercive American measures that directly affected their livelihood and made them suffer from difficulties in securing the basic necessities of their daily lives, such as oil, gas, food and health”.

Camp confirmed that “the policy pursued by the US administration in Syria is hostile and unjustified at all,” noting that it “harms American interests”.

“The hostility that characterizes the features of the foreign policy of the United States towards Syria has turned into open aggression, and we all know how Washington has been actively working to destabilize Syria between 2006 and 2011”.

Concerning the American public opinion about the reality of what is happening in Syria, Kortkamp pointed to the huge media blackout about what is happening in Syria, even in academic circles and for many decades, noting that Americans are ignorant of what is usually going on around the world.

It is reported that Janice Kortkamp is an American journalist and former US Senator Richard Black’s assistant.
