US Central Command: 50,000 troops, 200 fighter jets and two aircraft carriers are participating in the war on Iran
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced at dawn on Wednesday that more than 50,000 troops, 200 fighter jets, aircraft carriers and bombers are coming to the war on Iran, noting that additional military capabilities are still on their way to the region.
CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper said in a video statement posted by the Central Command on X, “now continues to carry out strikes around the clock inside Iran across various fields: from the deep sea to space and even cyberspace”.
“More than 50,000 troops, 200 fighter jets, two aircraft carriers, as well as bombers from the United States, are taking part in this war, with additional capabilities on the way,” he said.
Since the start of the war, “we have already targeted nearly 2,000 targets using more than 2,000 munitions,” he said.
Iran has so far responded with the launch of more than 500 ballistic missiles and more than 2,000 drones, the CENTCOM said.
The CENTCOM commander claimed that the United States was sinking the entire Iranian navy, saying, “So far we have destroyed 17 Iranian ships, including Iran’s most active submarines”.
Since Saturday morning, Israel and the United States have been waging a military aggression against Iran, which has killed hundreds of people, led by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and security officials.
