Ukrainian Foreign Minister begins Arab and African tour to present Kyiv peace plan
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced that its Minister, Andriy Sebiha, will visit Angola on Thursday and Friday, as part of an Arab and African tour, which he began, Wednesday, in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added in its statement that Egypt will be the second stop on Andre’s tour, as he will visit it on Saturday, and then he will visit South Africa on Sunday and Monday.
The statement explained that the head of Ukrainian Foreign Minister will present during his current tour “Kiev’s peace plan aimed at ending the war with Russia” that has been going on for two years and eight months.
About 80 countries agreed during the “Peace Summit” hosted by Switzerland last June on a 10-point “peace formula” put forward by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The plan calls for respecting Ukraine’s unity and for the Russian army to withdraw from Ukrainian territory, of which it now controls about 20%.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister’s tour, which includes 3 African countries, comes after Russia hosted the first international business forum between Russia and Africa last week under the slogan “Made in Africa” with more than 500 participants from Russia and 20 African countries.
