UK business confidence falls to lowest level since mini-budget

Business confidence in Britain has hit its lowest level in more than two years, after the presentation of the mini-budget by former Prime Minister Liz Truss, in a move that raises concerns about the economic situation in the United Kingdom.

A survey by the British Chambers of Commerce showed growing concerns among businesses about tax increases imposed by the current Labor-led government.

Many business owners expected this tax burden to increase operating costs, which in turn would affect market stability.

According to the survey, the majority of UK businesses expect prices to rise further over the next three months, as companies bear the brunt of recent tax increases, as well as a further increase in the minimum wage, announced by Chancellor Rachel Reeves in the Budget released in October.
