Two killed as a result of violent Israeli raids targeting military sites in southern Damascus and the countryside of Dara’a

At least two people were killed in Israeli strikes that targeted a military unit headquarters southwest of Damascus on Tuesday night.

The Israeli strikes targeted the headquarters located in the al Kiswah area resulted in the two killed, while the Israeli army confirmed that it had bombed military targets containing weapons in the south of the country.

The Israeli army announced on Tuesday night that it had launched air strikes on southern Syria, targeting military sites containing weapons.

The Israeli army said in a statement that it had struck military targets in southern Syria in the past hours, including command centers and numerous sites containing weapons, without specifying exactly where the airstrikes took place.

A Syrian security source confirmed that Israeli fighter jets were targeting southern Damascus, without providing further details, as at least two raids targeted military sites south of the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Explosions were heard as a result of the shelling that targeted military sites around the city of al Kiswah in southern Damascus, in addition to areas in the Dara’a province countryside, according to local sources.

Israeli media, for its part, confirmed that the air force targeted areas in Syria.

The Israeli Channel 14, close to the Israeli government said that the Israeli army carried out raids on military bases belonging to the former Syrian army and destroyed combat equipment in Damascus.
