A Turkish website posted a photo taken from one of the surveillance cameras at the Istiklal Street, showing a woman suspected of carrying out the Istanbul attack.
The Turkish “OdaTv” website posted the photo of a woman believed to be involved in the explosion in central Istanbul, which killed 6 people and injured 81 others so far.
According to the initial information the site received from security sources, the explosion was caused by a booby-trapped bag left at the street.
The Turkish authorities stated that the bag that the woman had placed was found.
The Turkish authorities indicated that after the explosion that occurred on Istiklal Street, another suspicious bag was found and was neutralized.
The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his deputy, Fuad Oktay, confirmed that the attack was carried out by a woman, commenting as Erdogan said that the perpetrators of the bombing will receive appropriate punishment, and that the authorities are working to determine their identities.
