Turkish intelligence arrests 44 people on charges of communicating with the Mossad
The Turkish security authorities arrested 44 people on charges of working for the Israeli “Mossad” in Istanbul.
The Turkish security authorities carried out a security operation targeting “private investigators” who spied for the Israeli Mossad, by monitoring and following up on Palestinian individuals and non-governmental institutions in Türkiye.
It turned out that 44 suspects were arrested on charges of military espionage in an operation organized by Turkish intelligence and the Istanbul police, who passed information about Palestinians to the Israeli Mossad in exchange for money.
Among the detainees was Ismail Ytimoglu, the founding president of the Private Investigation Society, which was established in 2007.
According to the information provided by the suspects, including employees of consulting companies active in the field of secret private investigation, it was revealed that the activities of threatening, transferring money and smearing reputation through social media were practiced against people whose information was transferred to the Mossad.
Seven of the suspects were referred to court after completing the legal procedures against them from the Istanbul police, while the competent authorities in the Anti-Terrorism Office are interrogating the other suspects.
Ismail Ytimoglu, the founder of the “Association of Private Investigators,” which was established in 2007, and the founder of the “Maviay Private Investigations” company, states that he took the oath of a private investigator in 2003 after retiring from the civil service after working for 23 years.
Ytimoglu indicates on his own website that he supervised the organization of conferences and seminars in many universities, and led training courses on techniques and methods of private police research in a public university.
