Trump: We’ll announce details of the Gaza talks within 24 hours and We will allow Palestinian supporters protests during 2026 FIFA World Cup
US President Donald Trump said that details of the talks related to the Gaza Strip will be announced within the next 24 hours, without providing further details.
Regarding Yemen, Trump confirmed that positive results had been achieved in dealing with the Houthis, emphasizing their respect for the promises they made not to attack ships.
Trump said that the United States had dealt severe blows to the group, noting that they had endured what he described as punishment but had shown great courage.
Regarding Iran, Trump said that Washington hasn’t yet made a decision regarding its enrichment of nuclear materials.
In another context, Trump announced that protests in support of Palestine will be permitted during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by his country, Canada, and Mexico.
This came during a press conference with FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the White House on Wednesday.
Trump made it clear that potential pro-Palestinian protests during the 2026 World Cup in the United States wouldn’t be prevented.
Trump said in this regard, “People have the right to protest, but it must be in a reasonable manner”.
The United States, together with Canada and Mexico, will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup from June 11 to July 19.
