Israeli Prime Minister: Israel will defend itself with its might in Yemen and elsewhere even if our “American friends” don’t participate
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Wednesday evening to launch further attacks on Yemen, even if “our American friends” don’t join.
This comes a day after the United States and the Yemeni Ansar Allah group, mediated by the Sultanate of Oman, reached a ceasefire agreement that doesn’t include Israel.
Netanyahu commented on the agreement, saying in a televised address broadcast on his X account, “Israel will defend itself, and we are doing so in Yemen and other places at very great distances”.
He continued, “If our American friends join us, that would be good, but if they don’t, as I said, we will defend ourselves with our own strength,” he said.
Coinciding with Israel’s warning that it will continue to deliver harsh blows to the Ansar Allah group in Yemen if they continue firing, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar confirmed that the administration of US President Donald Trump provides his country with unconditional political support.
He also added in statements on Thursday that Israel didn’t receive any prior notice of the US halting its bombing of the Ansar Allah group in Yemen.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed on Wednesday that his country, Israel, is capable of defending itself, in reference to the US-Houthi agreement via the Sultanate of Oman.
