Trump said he won’t run in 2028 if he loses the November election
Former President Donald Trump said in an interview broadcast Sunday that he won’t run for the 2028 US presidential election if he loses in November’s vote.
“No, I don’t see myself as a candidate, I don’t see myself as a candidate… I think that’s going to be it… I don’t see that at all,” Trump, (78), said on Full Measure interview.
However, he expressed his hopes to achieve success at the ballot box on November 5 against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
Since President Joe Biden withdrew from the race, polls have shown Biden and Harris running very close in several states that will likely determine the winner.
It’s known that Trump never acknowledged his defeat to Biden in 2020, and has repeatedly refused in recent months to pledge to unconditionally recognize the outcome of the upcoming election in seven weeks.
