Top donor to the US Democratic Party refuses to support Harris

John Morgan, a top financier of the US Democratic Party, has withheld financial support for Kamala Harris if she runs for president and Morgan said, “Voting for someone is different from raising millions of dollars for them”.
Morgan believes Harris will lose the November election, and confirmed to ABC News that he has informed President Joe Biden’s National Finance Committee to end his support.
“If Harris becomes the presidential candidate, there will be a big celebration at Mar-a-Lago, the residence of former President Donald Trump”.
President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he is stepping down from the next presidential race in November, indicating that he will focus on his duties as president until the end of his term.
Biden said in a statement on X, “I intended to seek re-election, but I think it’s better for my party and my country to step down and focus on performing my duties as president for the remainder of my term”.
Biden confirmed he would provide additional details about his decision in a speech later this week.
Republican congressional candidate Kathleen Winn said Biden’s decision not to run again was the result of internal pressure from the Democratic Party, which saw it as no longer effective.
