Thousands of Israelis demonstrate to demand the release of hostages held in Gaza and the acceptance of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas
Thousands of Israelis demonstrated on Saturday demanding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accept a ceasefire deal with Hamas that includes the repatriation of the rest of the Israeli hostages from Gaza.
At a rally in Tel Aviv, coinciding with a meeting of Hamas officials with Egyptian and Qatari mediators in Cairo, relatives and supporters of more than 130 hostages still in Gaza said everything possible must be done to return them to Israel.
The protests came two days before Holocaust Anniversary on May 6 this year, as well as the war in Gaza nearing the end of its seventh month amid growing international pressure to stop fighting.
Many of those taken hostage are believed to have died, but the families want all hostages to be returned.
