A loyal to the Autonomous Administration (which controls large parts of the northeast Syria), Hawar news Agency, has reported international media reports, talking about “the position of the United States, which has become weak in Syria”.

The agency added that “the only country that hasn’t participated in Syria in a meaningful way is the United States, which is slowly but surely discovering that the country is being used as an instrument of international political pressure”, Levant and the wider Middle East.

And added, “All other countries involved in Syria are clinging to their positions and re-imposing them, while the US strategy appears to be following a neutral position, and is only preparing to confront ISIS”, noting that “Biden has only two options: He can increase the US military presence in an attempt to distance the interests of other countries, or he could order a complete withdrawal and regrouping in Israel, Jordan and the Gulf”.

What US President Joe Biden cannot afford, according to the report, is “Maintaining a small presence that can do little other than take punitive measures against ISIS and Iranian-backed groups, but this is an unwinnable strategy.

It may be counterproductive and result in a situation in which US forces find themselves suffering a heavy loss, which would further erode their perception as the most powerful country in the world”.

Hawar Agency concluded by saying that if the US loses its influence in Syria, it’ll eventually lose its influence everywhere.

It’s noteworthy that the United States, which leads the international coalition against ISIS, supports the Autonomous Administration and its military wing, the “Syria Democratic Forces”, which control large parts of Northern east Syria.
