It was reported by the Russian Sputnik news agency that “the officers and soldiers of the al Kazia checkpoint, located near the small town of Damkhiya, southwest of the city of Qamishli, north of al Hasakah Governorate, prevented, on Thursday afternoon, October 21, a US military convoy from penetrating the areas controlled by the Syrian state on one of the sections of the international road”.
The sources added that “the US army convoy was made up of five armored vehicles, with a large group of US soldiers inside, and it takes the M4 international road, the Qamishli-Hasakah section, where one of the Syrian army officers and soldiers intercepted it and prevented it from completing the march and penetrating the positions of the Syrian state’s control”.
The channel added that it had obtained “a video clip documenting the process of confronting and preventing the elements of the military barrier in the Syrian army, where the US armored vehicles retreated and returned to the areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces”.
