US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby announced on Wednesday that the United States intends to maintain a strong military presence in the Middle East region given the ongoing tensions between Israel and Hamas.

In a press conference held at the White House, Kirby explained that the United States doesn’t want to escalate the current conflict that Israel is witnessing, indicating that the goal is to prevent the expansion of the war in the region.

This statement comes after Israeli reports about the Israeli government’s dissatisfaction with the United States’ decision to withdraw Aircraft carrier of the Mediterranean Sea.

According to ABC news, the United States decided to withdraw the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford from the Mediterranean, which raised concern in Israeli circles.
