The United states decides to send Dwight Eisenhower aircraft carrier to the Gulf of Aden
The United states recently sent an attack aircraft carrier group with the nuclear aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower to the Gulf of Aden against the backdrop of the recent attacks by the Yemeni “Ansar Allah” group on ships in the Red Sea.
“In recent days, the Pentagon transferred an aircraft carrier strike group led by the aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Yemen to support a possible US response to Ansar Allah attacks”.
The administration of US President Joe Biden, explained that the Pentagon is studying the possibility of striking military targets of “Ansar Allah” group in northern Yemen in response to the increasing attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
According to Pentagon official, the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, during his visit to the Middle East, will announce the launch of an operation that includes international forces to combat “Ansar Allah” threats against the backdrop of the recent attacks on Ships in the Red Sea.
The Yemeni “Ansar Allah” group warned earlier that it would attack any ships linked to Israel, calling on other countries to withdraw their crews from them and not approach them at sea, and a number of shipping companies decided to suspend transportation through the Red Sea, including the French shipping group CMA. CGM, which temporarily suspended all flights through the Red Sea.
On Saturday, the Pentagon announced that a US destroyer in the Red Sea shot down 14 drones launched from territory controlled by Ansar Allah.
It’s noteworthy that the leader of the “Ansar Allah” group, Abdul Malik al Houthi, had announced on October 10 that his group would participate in missile and air attacks and other military options in support of the Palestinians in confronting the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip.
