
According to Turkish official Gazette, and number of decisions were issued of increasing some fees and taxes.
The decisions signed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and they are, increasing the fees for using phones that tourists bring from abroad, from 6,091 Turkish lira ($233) to 20,000 Turkish lira (767).
In addition, increasing notary services, passports, entry visas, and work and residence permits (for foreigners) fees by 50%.
Increasing value added tax (Vat) on products and goods from 18% to 20%.
The decisions will enter into force as of July 10.
These increases came as part of major new direction of financial and economic policies which the government of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), since the victory in the recent presidential and parliamentary elections.
