Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that “Turkey needs the Russian missile defense systems S-400, and the agreement around it is over, God willing, we will take them as soon as possible”.

This came in a speech during ceremony graduation officers of the Turkish army, on Friday, in the state of “Balikesir” in the west of the country.

Erdogan criticized Erdogan’s criteria for counter-terrorism.

“The lawsuits against Turkey in the United States and the decisions made on them are unprecedented in any other country”, he said.

He stressed that “Turkey has no problem to justify the terrorist attacks against it at home and abroad, and the hypocrisy it faces in the international arena, and the image of the crisis they are trying to create on the Turkish economy”.

On fluctuations and instability in exchange rates, Erdogan said it was a “process aimed at our country”.

“They want to achieve what they cannot do through terrorist organizations and gangs of traitors at home, by using the weapon of the economy, which has made the exchange rate a bullet”.

He pointed out that “Turkey as much as it needs alliances with European countries and America, they need cooperation relations with other countries”.

“We are aware of the covert or overt activities of those who force us to establish a one-sided relationship”, he said.

He said that in any way cannot explain the attempt to weaken the power of Turkey in the military and economic grounds under the pretext of continuing judicial invitation according to the laws in the state of Izmir in western Turkey.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of a three-way summit on Syria, which is to be held in Tehran, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.

Turkish media reported that a summit between Iran, Russia and Turkey, the three countries sponsoring the Astana peace negotiations on Syria, was expected on September 7 in Iran.

“We have informed the Iranian side that they have returned to Tehran’s option”, Peskov told the press. So the tripartite summit is being prepared in Tehran.

“The private Turkish channel NTV announced on Monday that the summit would be held in Tabriz.

“It is therefore natural that Putin and Erdogan will seize this tripartite meeting to pursue their bilateral talks”, the spokesman said.

The last such meeting took place between Russian, Turkish and Iranian presidents in Ankara in April and earlier in Sochi in Russia last November.

The preparations for the new summit come as an imminent attack on Idlib in northwestern Syria, the latest stronghold of the opposition factions and the Sham Liberation Organization (formerly known as Al Nusra Front), is imminent.

The organization of the Sham Liberation Organization controls about 60 percent of Idlib, while other rival factions control the rest of the province.

But according to experts, the regime’s attack on the border region with Turkey hinges on an agreement between Moscow, Damascus’s main ally, and Ankara, which backs the opposition.
