The Turkish lira recorded its lowest level against the dollar in the history of its trading, as the value of the Turkish currency declined against the US dollar, breaking the psychological barrier of 28 lira to the dollar.

The US dollar exchange rate rose by 0.32% to 27.7001 liras, and before that the Turkish currency recorded a level of 28.1125 liras to the dollar, for the first time, on Monday.

The Turkish currency is witnessing a decline in light of the economic difficulties facing Türkiye, most notably inflation, despite the attempts of the Turkish Central Bank to curb rising prices by raising the main interest rate.
