The SDF issues a ruling to end the lives of 8 people on charges of dealing with Türkiye
On Tuesday, August 30, the military court of the Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a death sentence against 8 people, including two women, on charges of collaborating with Turkish intelligence in its areas of control.
On July 31, the SDF announced the launch of Operation Oath, and the arrest of 36 people on charges of “espionage and working for the Turkish state”.
In a statement published on its official website, the SDF said that it launched its security campaign in the cities of Qamishli, Tal Tamr, Hasaka, al Shaddadi, Deir al Zour, Raqqa, Manbij and Ayn Arab (Kobani), during which it arrested 36 people, saying that they were “involved in the ranks of spies and agents”.
The arrest of these people was based on obtaining “compelling evidence and documents condemning them, and their confession of their sins”.
According to the statement, the “SDF” claimed that Türkiye and its security institutions had established a network of spies and agents for it, and allocated a large budget to it, with the aim of undermining the confidence of our society’s people, raising suspicions and suspicions, and targeting leaders, fighters, members of the security forces, and workers in the institutions of self-administration.
The network” caused the death of many members of the “SDF” and its leaders.
The SDF statement explained that, in cooperation with its security services, it began working for a while to secretly expose the “network” until it was able to identify its members, stressing that Türkiye was paving the way for the “occupation of northeastern Syria”.
The SDF accused the 36 detained activists of having played a role in the “attack that took place on Tel Tamer on August 19, 2021”, which led to the killing of “Sawsan Perhat, Akid Karaki Laky, and Renas Roj” with 6 others.
They were also the cause of the killing of “Darlar Haleb” and two of her with her on April 20, 2022 in Ayn Arab (Kobani), and the killing of “Haji and his companions” on October 20, 2021.
The SDF added that they also caused the death of 11 fighters of the “SDF” at times.
