Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday evening affirmed support for efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

This came during a meeting in Jeddah between Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and discussed developments in the Ukrainian-Russian crisis.

The Saudi crown prince stressed the Kingdom’s keenness and support for all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis, and discussing ways to mitigate the humanitarian effects resulting from it.

The Ukrainian president left Saudi Arabia after the meeting on the third official visit to the Kingdom.

Zelenksy had previously visited Saudi Arabia last February, met with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and discussed a number of files, including efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war that has raged since February 2022.

Zelensky first visited Riyadh in May 2023, and Saudi Arabia has played more than once mediating roles between Russia and Ukraine, whether to resolve the crisis or exchange prisoners.
