The Qassam Brigades ambushed an Israeli force killing in injuring a number of soldiers and targeted 8 tanks east of Gaza City
The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, announced on Saturday that it had carried out a number of operations against Israeli army forces penetrating various combat fronts, most notably ambushing an Israeli force and targeting 8 tanks east of Gaza City.
The Qassam Brigades said, in separate statements, that their fighter killed a number of Israeli soldiers.
The Qassam Brigades added in a statement, “We caught a foot force inside a building in the al Tuffah neighborhood (east of Gaza City) in a precise ambush, and we killed and wounded its members”.
The statement explained that the Qassam Brigades fighters targeted 8 Israeli tanks with al Yassin 105 shells, in the al Tuffah and al Daraj neighborhoods, east of Gaza City.
The statement continued, regarding its operations in the same area, that its fighters “sniped a Zionist soldier with a heavy-caliber M99 weapon, while they targeted a foot force inside a building with an anti-fortified TBG shell”.
In the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, the Qassam Brigades announced, in a statement, that it bombed a gathering of enemy soldiers and vehicles with a barrage of mortar shells.
The Qassam Brigades said in two separate statements, “We blew up a house in which a number of Zionist soldiers were barricaded with explosive devices, leaving them dead and wounded… We also bombed two gatherings of vehicles and soldiers with mortar shells”.
Earlier Saturday, the Israeli army announced the killing of a new officer and soldier during battles in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
Thus, the number of Israeli army deaths since the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip rose to 170 officers and soldiers, and 504 since the seventh of last October, according to the Israeli army official numbers.
