The Israeli media: Details of the new Israeli offer for a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas
The Israeli Kan 11 channel revealed in a report the Israeli offer for the proposed prisoner exchange deal with Hamas.
On Monday evening, the reported that Israel is conducting negotiations on a new Qatari-sponsored exchange deal.
It was noted that progress was achieved after observing a shift in Hamas’ position.
The Israeli Kan news channel quoted three political and security officials as saying that the new Israeli proposal includes four main points:
Release kidnapped non-soldiers.
A long-term ceasefire.
A tactical withdrawal of the IDF from several areas in the Gaza Strip.
The release of Palestinian security prisoners from Israeli prisons.
According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Israel expected to receive a response today from Qatar regarding Hamas’ position on the broad outlines of the initiative, but according to the messages received from there, this will be postponed for a day or two, due to the intense activity of the Defense Forces in Khan Younes.
A senior political official explained, “We’re noticing a shift in Hamas’ position and we are optimistic, but everything can change at any moment”.
Another source said, “Qatar is making great efforts to reach this deal… It’s not a deal like other deals”.
The channel’s news bulletin Monday evening stated, “The Qatari, US, and Egyptian mediators in the deal negotiations noted flexibility in Hamas’s demand, which links any deal to ending the war”.
The mediators were quoted as saying, “Hamas is ready to focus on the first part of the deal and not deal with the last part, which according to Hamas should lead to the end of the war,” while “officials in Israel doubted this, and said that no evidence of such a thing had been presented; Flexibility for them so far”.
It’s worth noting that Bert McGurk, senior advisor to US President Joe Biden, has arrived in Egypt, and will also go to Qatar in the coming days, as the Americans don’t see this deal as a “deal like other deals.
Rather, it could lead to the end of the war and also lead to payment.

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied what was being exchanged about a prisoner exchange deal with the Hamas movement, and said that there is no real offer and no appropriate proposals regarding a prisoner exchange deal.
