The Israeli army announced on Monday that it had struck more than 600 targets in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.

The army announced on Sunday that it had struck 450 targets, while fighting continued between Israeli forces that penetrated into the Gaza Strip and Hamas fighters and other factions.

On Monday, Israeli tanks entered a neighborhood on the outskirts of Gaza City, cutting off the main road between the north and south of the Strip.

Witnesses indicated that the tanks reached the outskirts of the al Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

According to sources, “They blocked Salah al Din Street, which connects the north to the south and were shooting at any car that passed there”.

The Israeli army also announced that a soldier was killed and two were seriously injured following a tank overturns in the north.

The number of Israeli deaths since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7 has risen to more than 1,538 people.

The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said in a statement on Monday that there were more than 1,538 dead since the beginning of the war.

The statement added, “So far, the bodies of 823 dead non-soldiers have been identified, and 715 bodies have been transferred for burial”.

The Israeli authority indicated that the process of identifying the rest of the bodies is still continuing.

On Sunday, Israeli army spokesman Brigadier General Daniel Hagari said in a press conference that the number of soldiers killed since the start of the war had reached 311, and the Israeli hostages in Gaza had reached 230.

According to data from the Israeli Ministry of Health, 5,431 Israelis have been injured since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip.

Earlier this morning, the Israeli army spokesman announced that an army officer was seriously injured as a result of a mortar shell explosion in the northern Gaza Strip last night.

The army spokesman also announced, in a brief statement, that a soldier was moderately injured during a confrontation with resistance fighters in the northern Gaza Strip.

For 24 days, the Israeli army has launched intensive raids on residential neighborhoods in Gaza, killing more than 8,005 Palestinians, including 3,324 children, 2,062 women, and 460 elderly people, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

In the West Bank, 114 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, and the Israeli army is launching a massive arrest campaign that has affected about 2,000 Palestinians, according to official Palestinian sources.
